My name is Melinda Kitzmiller. I am 39 years old, and I am the owner/petsitter of My Best Friends Pet Sitting Service since 1999. I have enjoyed and loved animals since I was a child. Through the years of growing up, they have always had a special place in my heart. As I got older, I was dedicated to saving lives of homeless animals. I have a strong voice where animals are concerned, in their defense of animal cruelity. I have started My Best Friends to try and keep pets at home when their guardian is away. I remember having to board my pets at one time when my family and I had to be away, and didn't like the fact that they were put in a cage for days and not getting the attention they needed. I agree with the statement,"A stress free pet is a happier and healthier pet!" TO ME, PETS ARE PEOPLE TOO!

My Best Friends Pet Sitting Service will come to your home and provide professional, tender loving care for your pet when you cannot be there.
My Best Friends cares for a variety of animals that include: dogs, cats, birds, fish, rabbits, mice, hamsters, gerbils, or whatever special friend you have.
My Best Friends provide a stress-free alternative to kennels and being boarded at the vet's office, and away from any illness, where dogs can get kennel cough, and cats can get upper-respiratory virus. Also, dogs are only walked once a day and many times cats are not even taken out of their kennel. Your pet will be comfortable staying in their familiar environment. We will work around your pets's normal schedule and daily routine. Our service includes: feeding, cleaning up after them(changing litter boxes etc..) taking them for walks, playing with them, taking them to vet visits in which I have experience giving any medication that they may need. Again, a stress free pet is a happier healthier pet! Other services include: watering plants, bringing in the mail and newspaper, and turning off or leaving on any indoor/outdoor lights. We do our best to make it as normal as if you would be at home. The biggest and most important service is the Love and TLC your pet will receive.
A pet care log sheet is given to you to fill out, informing us of the daily instructions and/or activities that your pet does throughout the day, along with any emergency numbers that you would care to leave etc....
A daily report card is left for you to read so you don't miss out on the fun your pet had while you were away.
